The Team Walker After School Program — students in the Special Needs Learning Program take part in the full after school day alongside their peers.
Who it serves
Students in grades 3rd–8th with diverse learning needs, referred through the After School Program.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, during the Jersey City Public Schools calendar (September–June).
Program features
Individualized academic support using Sonday Essentials, multisensory reading kits, small-group instruction, progress tracking across subject areas, and social-emotional learning integrated daily.

At Team Walker, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Our Special Needs Learning Program, offered within the After School Program, provides individualized support to ensure children with diverse learning needs receive the attention and resources they deserve. Through small-group instruction, one-on-one guidance, and tailored activities, our team works to reinforce academic skills, build confidence, and encourage social development.
